PURPOSE:

The Visual Merchandising Specialist will be instrumental in crafting and executing the visual and space strategy for our retail furniture and electronics stores. They will oversee the implementation of store layout designs, visual merchandising, and product placement, tailored to enhance customer experience and drive sales performance in your designated territory.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES:

• Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising and Space Strategy Manager to adapt and apply overarching space planning strategies to the specific needs of stores.
• Direct and refine retail space layouts, ensuring optimal product placement, traffic flow, and adherence to visual standards.
• Liaise with store managers to ensure that visual merchandising aligns with local market trends and store objectives.
• Analyze regional sales data, customer demographics, and market trends to optimize merchandising efforts.
• Implement visual display arrangements that are engaging and represent the company's brand effectively.
• Guide the arrangement of furniture, electronics, and accessories in stores to enhance visual impact and sales potential.
• Enforce corporate guidelines on visual presentation and merchandising consistency across the region.
• Train and support store teams in visual merchandising techniques and standards.
• Conduct regular visits to stores to review layout effectiveness, provide feedback, and enforce compliance with company standards.
• Work closely with marketing and product teams on regional product launches, promotions, and in-store events.
• Stay abreast of industry developments and integrate innovative visual merchandising methods and technologies.
• Monitor regional performance metrics and provide reports to the Visual Merchandising and Space Strategy Manager on outcomes and strategies for improvement.
• Any other related duties.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Administration, Merchandising, Interior Design, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in retail space planning, visual merchandising, or a similar role within the retail sector.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to use data in decision-making.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills, with a knack for managing cross- functional relationships.
• Creative and detail-oriented with an eye for aesthetic design and visual storytelling in a retail context.
• Willingly adopts a hands-on approach to execute plans in full and on time
• Leadership experience with a track record of developing talent and leading teams to meet business objectives.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
