Systems Analyst, Alstons Marketing Company

The Systems Analyst will be responsible for system analysis, application system maintenance and support, project management, and interfacing with business users on their day-to-day business process needs and automation.

Job Summary:

• Under the general direction of the Sector IT Manager and in close collaboration with distribution sector and group IT personnel, the Systems Analyst will be responsible for system analysis, application system maintenance and support, project management, and interfacing with business users on their day-to-day business process needs and automation.

Job Description:

• Focal point of knowledge for embedded ERP platform.
• Manage and maintain ERP system and other key applications used within environment.
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyse information needs.
• Perform needs analysis to determine key business requirements for possible enhancements to ERP and other applications.
• Perform database maintenance to ensure ongoing integrity of ERP system.
• Develop detailed execution plans for the implementation of software upgrades and changes including data conversion and interface specification.
• Ensures that robust change management mechanisms are utilized to ensure that people, process, and the new technology are perfectly aligned.
• Deliver training in ERP and other embedded applications to new and existing users to ensure optimal use of systems.
• Work with distribution sector business and IT personnel to drive improvement in business process and systems.
• Perform other related duties are required by job function.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (in a computer related program) is required.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a Systems Analyst role.
• Three years’ experience working in a high-volume environment.
• Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics, turns, margin, contributions, etc.
• Working knowledge of database design and data modelling principles.
• Working knowledge of MS SQL Server and Microsoft Power BI.
• Previous experience with data warehouses / data marts and ETL tool experience an asset.
• Performance Tuning, Patching, Upgrades & cloning.
• MSSQL Skills.
