We are seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the position of Supply Chain Planner

A.S. Bryden & Sons (Trinidad) Limited

This role is responsible for the Demand Planning & Procurement activities for the assigned sales division culminating in a cost-efficient demand and supply network

Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:  

  • Developing & presenting regular Supply Chain reports by optimizing computer generated statistical data including sales projections, inventory, procurement projections, order statuses and other knowledge collected from various business units.
  • Synchronizing and validating data, and reconciling with other modules, as required
  • Purchasing of all SKUs in line with Supply Chain Purchasing, Inventory & Supplier Policies
  • Determination of Optimum Stock Covers &/or Inventory Turnover KPIs/Targets to guide purchasing decisions
  • Determination of the Optimum Order quantities & timing of orders, so as to achieve Stock Cover and/or Inventory Turnover, Inventory and OOS KPIs/Targets
  • Managing the Supply Chain solutions (Demand Planning / MRP etc.) expediting purchase orders and tracking open purchase orders
  • Cultivating mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers to ensure a high level of Supplier Delivery Performance
  • Leveraging the Demand Planning & inventory processes to develop procurement forecasts during the business planning cycle.
  • Sharing in the accountability for customer service levels, OOS Inventory levels
  • Seeking, analyzing and integrating information relative to creating an efficient demand and supply network.
  • Conducting regular continuous improvement and process efficiency reviews to ensure operating integrity (stock cover policies, planning parameters, Supply Chain KPIs).

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, Science and/or CIPS Level 6
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a FMCG environment
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Purchasing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and MRP software
  • Experience in Warehouse Management, Demand Planning, Logistics would be an asset

Key Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to break a problem into components and identify root causes and drivers; ability to determine best problem solving techniques.
  • Ability to work with and influence a variety of associates at varying levels of responsibility
  • Self-motivated, self-starter, capable of working within teams and in an autonomous environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including report writing and presentation creation
