Applications are invited for the position of Store Supervisor at our Courts Arima Store.

 

The incumbent will be responsible for maximizing sales opportunity and profitability by delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a motivated team. 

  

Duties include:

  • Ensures that the branch achieves targets relevant to the company’s targets/key performance indicators, monitors staff performances in Supa Shield, Ready Finance and Credit and recommends re-training where necessary.
  • Supports and actively engages in branch marketing events.
  • Ensures that there is adequate stock of items being promoted by sending swift stock requisitions to warehouses and ensures all stock related documents are processed daily.
  • Rechecks all stock updates against stock on range and ensures all products are on display.
  • Ensures timely reconciliation and printing of abbreviated stock, disseminates information swiftly to CSRs and ensures all memos from Head office are actioned promptly.
  • Maintains branch stock holding according to company guidelines and adheres to proper stacking, stacking and labelling procedures.
  • Ensures the safe and secure opening and closing of store.
  • Ensures that customers receive a high standard of service, resolves conflicts in handling customer queries and refers all legal letters to line manager for quick response.
  • Ensures porters are given check lists of duties to be performed, monitors duties until completion and communicates failure to meet standards to line manager.
  • Fosters team spirit among staff, ensures that the goals are achieved, assists in on-the-job training and improves multi-tasking.
  • Maintains showroom displays according to visual merchandising standards.
  • Monitors individual staff to ensure the achievement of KPIs and targets, coaches and monitors staff to ensure continuous improvement conducts formal performance reviews.
  • Coordinates and monitors the scheduling of staff to ensure that the branch is properly manned during ‘days off’ and leave.

 Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Business Management Studies or related discipline and two (2) years experience in a supervisory position in a retail environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be organized, persistent, committed, results-oriented, customer service-oriented and able to cope well in stress-related environments
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
