A BRIEF HISTORY OF SPANCRETE CARIBBEAN LIMITED
Spancrete Caribbean Limited was founded in August 1990 under license from Spancrete Machinery Corporation of Milwaukee to produce precast/ prestressed concrete products. Offices were initially established at the Trincity Industrial Estate on the same compound as its parent company Century Eslon Limited (CEL), a major plastic manufacturer with a majority shareholding in the Company.
The Plant was subsequently opened on the O’Meara Industrial Estate in Arima in 1991 with production capacity of 100 cubic meters per day. Our products include Hollowcore Planks, Contec Floor Joist Systems, Stadium Risers, Superpiles, Bridge Beams, Jersey Barriers and Watertanks.
One of Spancrete’s crowning achievements to date has been its receipt of The Prime Minister’s Exporter of the Year Award for 1998. It boasts clientele throughout the Caribbean region including Grenada, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, Antigua and the US Virgin Islands, with banks, hotels, schools and office buildings among its major clients.
