Position Background

Huawei Software consumer product line provides a broad range of end-to-end solutions in more than 130 countries and regions. The range of solutions includes BSS/OSS, IPCC, RCS, IPTV, Mobile Music, Mobile Gaming, Mobile Reading, Mobile TV and SDP.

The Project Manager  will be a key leader of relationships with telecommunications operators, to enhance the projects implementation and improve customer satisfaction.

This position will report to the RPMO.

Responsibilities

Externally:

• ·         As a Project Manager, You will be the expert representing Huawei project team and the focal point for the relationship with the customer;
• ·         Conduct high-level customer engagement activities, including steering committee of project and some workshop discussion;
• ·         With your experience and methodology manage the whole project team from end to end to make the project execute smoothly according to original plan ,and take measures when risks occurred;
• ·         Responsible of  the delivery of the project following the 5 phases of the project life cycle.

Internally:

• ·         Share experience within your team to improve PM’s skills through workshop, seminar ,training course etc;
• ·         Be mentor of  junior PM ;

Requirements

• ·         Typically will have 6+  years experience in the telecom industry with extensive project knowledge;
• ·         Customer and result oriented;
• ·         Highly developed Communication, persuasive and influencing ability;
• ·         Highly developed communication skills, comfortable at all levels of the business and able to influence all levels of management internally and externally;
• ·         Ability to work independently and define the project direction;
• ·         Desired PMP certification or strong PM skills based on the PMI.
• ·         Experience delivering VAS projects of over 1 Million USD each.
• ·         Experience delivering VAS projects in at least 2 telephony operators
• ·         Strong technical and business understanding of the projects delivered.
• ·         Able to detect and communicate efficiently progress, risks and problems internally and externally.
• ·         Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills; knowledge of technologies of BSS/OSS,IPTV,SDP, IN, WAP, RBT, IT implementation is preferred, experience of consulting of project management if preferred;
• ·         Strong technical background related to the IT world, IP networks and Value Added Platforms in Telcos.
• ·         Must have “hands-on” attitude all the time.
• ·         Ability to negotiate difficult internal matters and coordinate internal resources efficiently.

• Strong English language command; able to engage in complex business and technical discussions fluently; able to write and present in English fluently.
• Able to travel within the North Latin America region, including Mexico, Caribbean countries, Guyana, Suriname and so on（depend on the project）
