Job Summary:
The Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for the provision of technical assistance to corporate management on the overall engineering and operational aspects of the plant and designated projects so as to achieve desired levels of capital efficiency, project feasibility, safety and operability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide the process engineering and the quality control and verification of design basis, for all aspects of the basic engineering at the front end design of projects and through the detail engineering phase.
- Provide process engineering support to Operations Department in analysis and evaluation of existing plant operations towards efficiency improvements and in areas of chronic challenges.
- Develop and manage engineering projects, ensuring compliance with engineering designs and technical specifications.
- Prepare well-defined scope of works, requests for proposal / invitations to bid (RFPs / ITBs), contract and basis of bids documents for execution of Project EPC contracts.
- Apply established engineering and occupational health, safety and environmental codes and standards.
- Prepare technical and economic calculations, analyses and evaluations and make recommendations for all aspects of plant operations and verification of project design including screening of project and project alternatives.
- Prepare Decision Gate Documents and presentations
- Review and evaluation of Bids and Contracts.
- Undertake project cost estimation, project scheduling and project cost control.
- Monitor the performance of external resources to ensure compliance with design and contract specifications.
- Participate in Commissioning and Start-up Planning and Preparation.
- Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, Piping Model and P&ID Reviews to ensure compliance with design and/or accepted engineering specification
Qualifications:
B.Sc. Degree in Chemical and Process Engineering from an accredited tertiary institution and 7 – 10 years of relevant industry experience
Skills/Knowledge Requirements:
Must have experience with hydrocarbon plant processing operations and utility system
Knowledge of engineering and capacity management concepts and practices related to process plant operations and gas-based liquids extraction process
Familiarity with HYSIS software for plant process modeling and economic modeling
