The Role:
• Fully executing Waukesha engine or Ariel compressor standard maintenance activities as per the OEM and client's procedures.
• Performing troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis of breakdowns related to the SAC system, and related sub‐systems as necessary.
• Assist in coordinating major TBD related activities with the client's Maintenance Team Lead & Gas Compression Lead Engineer, e.g. major overhauls, upgrades (with vendor support), reliability studies etc.
• Conducting vibration data collection & analysis activities.
• Conducting oil sample and analysis (coordinating with third party support).
• Comply with, and champion the permit to work system for SAC related works, manage risk assessment documents etc.
• Work with supporting crafts (scaffolding etc) by reporting to the client's Maintenance Team Lead offshore.
• Formal daily reporting on operating parameters, and performing condition based analysis of these parameters to determine any maintenance correctives that may be necessary.
• Fully executing maintenance activities on control systems for the SAC
• Maintain historical log and current records of activities, equipment spare parts, failure events
• Complying with all the client's HSE policies and procedures, and participating in client HSE initiatives and training
• Performing housekeeping around SAC systems, work centers and office space.
• Manage and maintain the client's SAP PM system for SAC operations and maintenance, inclusive of creation of notifications & work orders, follow up with maintenance engineers.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and applicable standards (API) with O&M works.
• Any other works required to upkeep, operate and maintain the SAC compression plant in accordance with the client's Asset model and requirements.
• Assist in other works required to upkeep, operate and maintain the client’s TSP assets when needed, in accordance with the client's Asset model and requirements.
Skills:
• Expert level mechanical technician certification with OEM O&M, in Avon turbines, Sulzer compressors, Petrotech or equivalent control systems
• Strong analytical, organisational, multi‐tasking and problem solving skills (Training in RCFA is an asset)
• Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar position operating and maintaining Rolls Royce Avon & Sulzer compression units
• Strong communication and documentation skills (English required)
• Familiarity with working under a formal QA/QC program
• Computer literacy with good proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (up to ver 2014), SAP PM or other equivalent CMMS.
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures is an asset. At least trained in SSOW, and offshore oil and gas experience is a strong asset.
• Some experience in troubleshooting process related issues with gas compression facilities.
• Have worked with permit to work systems, risk / safety analysis and environmental impact mitigation systems
• Vibration analysis CAT 2 certification is an asset
• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (such as API 672 & 673)
