Role Summary

The Senior Finance Generalist will add to the efficient operations of the Finance Team, ensuring maintenance of the integrity and accuracy of financial reports and contributing towards the general improvement of the control environment. The responsibilities will also include implementation of accounting policy, internal and external financial reporting, financial analysis, internal controls, and procedures.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with preparation of financial statements
• Prepare consolidated monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts
• Ensure the integrity of entries to the GL and compliance with company policy.
• Assist with Tax schedules and external Audit
• Contribute to the development of accounting policy and procedures as well as compliance with statutory regulations and company policy
• Engage in statutory filings and regulatory reporting
• Prepare various interval reports

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, ACCA qualified or part qualified or equivalent qualifications
• 3-4 years’ financial reporting experience with experience on Financial statements consolidation
• Have a proven track record of delivering objectives on tight deadlines
• Proficient with accounting packages and Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Power Point
• Knowledge and understanding of accounting practices and procedures
• Knowledge of Solomon Accounting Software would be an asset
