The candidate will be responsible for the preparation and checking of discipline deliverables.

The following Senior Engineering opportunities are currently available at Neal & Massy Wood Group Ltd.:

- Senior Electrical Engineer

- Senior Mechanical Engineer

 Key Duties:

  • Knowledge of and adherence to Neal & Massy Wood Group and project specific Engineering Management Systems and Procedures relevant to the role.
  • Keeps up to date with technical developments, client and Neal & Massy Wood Group specifications, industry, national and international codes, standards and legislative requirements relevant to the role.
  • Demonstrates the appropriate competence level for the job.
  • Is a source for guidance on a majority of discipline applications.
  • Coordination of technical matters within discipline and with other disciplines as required.
  • Development of discipline scopes of work, estimates and schedules if delegated by the Discipline Lead Engineer.
  • Knowledge and application of client specific standards.
  • Representation of Neal & Massy Wood Group to clients and suppliers / vendors in a professional manner.
  • Use of opportunities at meetings with clients and suppliers/ vendors to learn of additional work which Neal & Massy Wood Group could undertake and to promote Neal & Massy Wood Group’s capabilities.
  • Self-checking of own work.
  • Following procedures for document control and discipline design, e.g. creation of discipline design deliverables, use and retention of check prints and IDC prints.
  • Originating and checking of discipline deliverables.
  • Assisting the Discipline Lead Engineer and/or Discipline Function Lead as directed.
  • Producing solutions that are safe, cost effective, fit for purpose and add value to both Neal & Massy Wood Group and the client.
  • Ensuring operational and maintenance issues are addressed in the design.
  • Providing discipline input to procurement and construction activities
  •  Conducting surveys, both onshore and offshore, to determine information to allow execution of scopes of work.
  • Attending technical meetings if delegated by the Discipline Lead Engineer.
  • Attending Design Reviews, HAZOPs, Constructability Assessments etc. if delegated by the Discipline Lead Engineer.
  • Communicating with Discipline Engineers and Designers to ensure design integrity and consistency.
  • Understands standard contract requirements and scopes as they relate to the discipline.
    Departmental Development
  • Liaising with the Discipline Function Lead to identify and implement improvements in discipline working practices.
  • Capturing and communicating lessons learnt to the Discipline Function Lead.
  • Coaching / guiding of discipline personnel on a majority of discipline applications.

 Minimum Requirements:

  • First Degree in Engineering (BSc, BEng).
  • Membership of a professional body preferred.
  • Fulfillment of the requirements to obtain professional, chartered or registered engineering status.
  • Possesses skilled application of discipline software and tools.
  • Possesses skilled application of a majority of discipline applications.
  • Possesses basic appreciation in managing personnel.
  • Possesses basic appreciation in managing jobs / projects.
  • Possesses a reasonable command of the English language and must be able to communicate English effectively in the field of Engineering.
  • Assessed competent as Senior Engineer in accordance with ENG-PRC-1100
  • Typically a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
