Security and Safety Manager

The Security & Safety Manager will coordinate, lead, and manage all property Security and Safety policies and procedures. Leads and chairs the property's Safety Committee and is responsible for the development and implementation of all safety awareness initiatives, training, and property emergency procedures. This position will direct the activities for security & safety for the property, in compliance with all government and Kittitian Hill regulations. Further, this position will select and monitor surveillance and safety systems, be held accountable for maintaining cost and controls related to labour and other expenses, as well as preparing and executing department budgets and forecasts.

Drive, determination, and taking responsibility for ensuring company policies and procedures are correctly followed are necessary qualities of the successful candidate.  While the pace of the work may be faster than average, the timeliness and quality of results is never compromised. An active, positive response to a variety of challenges and time pressures is also required. The nature of the work requires quick decision-making, based on knowledge and skills and an intention to reduce risk factors as much as possible.

Essential skills, education and experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of management experience overseeing a security and safety operation.
• University/college degree preferred
• Previous experience with surveillance equipment and software preferred.
• Upscale hotel/resort experience preferred
• Current first aid/CPR certification
• Valid clean driving licence
• Strong Microsoft Office and computer navigation skills
