The SPDM will direct and oversee all the sales functions of the company with a wide scope of activities to give us loan sales growth, business expansion, formation of strategic partnership, product development and increased profitability.

LASCO Microfinance Limited, a subsidiary of LASCO Financial Services Limited is seeking to fill the position of Sales and Product Development Manager (SPDM). The incumbent must have in depth understanding of LASMF’s target market to include MSMEs and Micro consumer needs and must be able to develop strategies for serving this market.

The SPDM must spend time learning the current products and their potential and is expected to thereafter recommend the strategic direction for implementing the appropriate sales structure to achieve business objectives.  The SPDM is expected to be adept at developing forecasts for the GM and targets for the various sales teams. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated enough to reach out and bring in new business.                  

Core duties and responsibilities

  •  Attract new clients by renovating/modernizing the sales process for LASMF
  • Working with Senior Managers to identify and manage company risks that might prevent business growth.
  • Research and development of new loan products that will appeal to new and existing clientele
  • Preparing and delivering pitches and presentations to potential new clients
  • Combining efforts and fostering a collaborative environment within the business as a whole
  • Communicating with MSME clients to understand their credit needs and offer solutions to their problems
  • Creating positive, long-lasting relationships with current and potential clients
  • Conduct Product and Sales meetings and coordinate with teams across LFSL group network to enhance existing products and develop new products and services
  • Prepare and deliver timely reports to the GM and make presentations to the Board of Directors as required
  • Provide the executive with client feedback and market needs and insights
  • Analyze the competition’s products & services to better position LASMF for greater leverage in the industry
  • Coach a team of sales professionals to win by continuously achieving and exceeding targets
  • Collaborate with Marketing Department in developing and executing on brand awareness and customer engagement strategies to boost the brand affinity

Conditions of the Job

  • Duties are discharged from an office environment
  • Numerous high priority and business critical deadlines
  • Full-time position Monday to Friday with hours of work
  • Required to work beyond normal working hours/days to meet deadlines and deliverables
  • Extensive travel expected across the island
