Summary: 

This role is responsible for sales analysis across the Company with a focus on the retail sector. The Sales Analyst will be liaising with Retail Sales, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to assist in the bid preparation and follow-up. This role will be responsible for ongoing evaluation of bid usages and presenting findings to relevant stakeholders. This role will be the bridge between retail sales and supply chain ensuring that all forecasting and demand planning is well informed with retail data and intel. This person will need to be analytically focused with an exceptional attention to detail.

 1.    Duties and Responsibilities:

 Act as the primary interface for forecasting between the Retail Sales, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams.

  • Monitor actual sales versus forecast and add insights into demand planning software.
  • Add insights from bid results and forecast meetings into demand planning software.
  • Add new items and substitute item forecasts into demand planning software.
  • Analyze sales trends, especially notable increases or decreases, investigate root causes and make recommendations.
  • Monitor deviations from contracted usages and present to sales leadership.
  • Work with Retail Sales and Marketing to ensure that their market and customer knowledge and plans are reflected in the forecasts.
  • Liaise with retail sales, customer service, and supply chain teams on out of stock and over stocked items.
  • Develop deep knowledge of CPJ portfolio.
  • Assist in preparation of sales bids including maintaining conversions of customer item numbers and units of measure.
  • Contribute to the development of sales plans and objectives.
  • Determine sales potential and make recommendations.
  • Analyze missed and future opportunities and making recommendations.

  • Implement any activity, process or strategy that will improve the competitive advantage of the Company, in consultation with the C-Suite, Directors and other members of the Senior Management Team.
  • Ensure the maintenance of the good name and reputation of Caribbean Producers Jamaica Ltd. in general through the demonstration and practice of the highest standards of ethical conduct.
  • Abide by the disciplinary code of the Company.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

2. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to work within Corporate Policies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the proven ability to prioritize and work independently.
  • Takes initiative to improve processes and make recommendations.

3. Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2- 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
  • Understanding of impact of forecasting and related decisions.
