Relationship Manager - Corporate & Commercial Banking

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for acquiring, growing and retaining a portfolio of Corporate & Commercial Banking Clients in the assigned Region.

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for acquiring, growing and retaining a portfolio of Corporate & Commercial Banking Clients in the assigned Region.

• Proactively provide differentiated business and financial advice to Corporate & Commercial Banking clients through the presentation of options with a recommendation that clearly articulates value.
• Introduce and refer clients to business partners to meet the clients’ broader advice needs.
• Undertake pre-contact planning for all client calls/meetings.

• Participate in bank and industry events, focusing on the local market area to continue to build industry and professional expertise.
• Develop, manage and action a personal development plan that ensures skills/knowledge are current.
• Create and develop needs-based sales strategies with input from appropriate company partners for all clients and prospects in order to create or increase revenue, client profitability and client loyalty. 

• Price business and collect fees within prescribed guidelines, maintaining a balance of sales results, portfolio profitability and relationship building.
• Build, advance and actively replenish a pipeline of prospective clients in order to achieve new client acquisition goals.

• A First Degree in Finance/Management/Accounting/Economics from a recognized tertiary institution.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in the Commercial Lending environment with two of those years being in Business Banking.
• Demonstrated success with business development activities including prospecting and referrals.
• Application of personal and business financial products and services to meet medium/high complexity personal client needs.
