Project Manager

Provide full range of technical, administrative services that ensure internal and external client needs are met & component projects are delivered within cost, quality and agreed targets. Business strategist to plan, manage multi-million dollar project.

JOB PURPOSE

Responsibility to provide the full range of technical and administrative services that ensure that internal and external client needs are met, and component projects are delivered within cost, quality and agreed targets. This role requires a business strategist who will be responsible to plan and manage a multi-million-dollar project.  Key responsibilities include:

• Establishing required framework for the greenfield project
• Overall responsible for all workstreams related to the physical establishment of an operating Container Terminal
• Plan, initiate, monitor, control, document and ensure closure of all sub-elements constituting the physical elements and processes involved with the project
• Collaborate with H/O and other technical professional teams and stakeholders to determine specifications, licences, permits and resources required to ensure that the project is delivered on time according to requirements and budget 

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent, from a recognised University
• Minimum 10 - 12 years’ experience, including extensive working experience in Port Planning and Marine/Coastal Engineering, managing project life cycle from Master planning/concept design, the tendering process, to completion.
• Involvement in at least one greenfield container terminal project
• Knowledgeable about the technical specifications of container terminal equipment & operations
• Understanding of general operations of a large container terminal
• PMP Certification preferred
