PROJECTS COORDINATOR [Universal Service Fund (USF) Projects]

ON CONTRACT

 

Job Summary:

To provide high quality administrative and coordination support to the Project Manager in order to facilitate the efficient delivery of Universal Service Fund projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate resources, activities and information to execute project workflows.
  2. Monitor and control project progress on-site at project locations, resolve issues and improve project processes.
  3. Conduct quality assurance and acceptance tests to verify project requirements are met.
  4. Develop project reports to track and inform progress and liaise with clients / contractors accordingly.
  5. Prepare and review project correspondences inclusive of project schedules and reports as required by the Project Manager.
  6. Organize and plan meetings, virtual or physical, as required. Provide support to other functional departments to bring new projects on stream.
  7. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and project-related files (i.e. electronic or otherwise).
  8. Monitor network performance and ensure high availability using remote tools and client feedback. Open, track and follow-up on support tickets with respective vendors.
  9. Collect and analyse data in the compilation of periodic and ad hoc reports that help drive operational decisions and communicate key metrics and insights to stakeholders.
  10. Identify opportunities for improvement and automation of data collection and reporting. Comply with HSE policy and procedures of the Authority and cooperate with workplace health and safety measures and initiatives.
  11. Take reasonable care for own safety and the safety of others and report all accidents, injuries, near misses and hazards to the Manager/Supervisor.
  12. Perform any other related duties that may be required by management in support of USF projects.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Recognized bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, computer science, or related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Information and Communications Technology (ICT), engineering, project coordination, or a project support role.
  • Experience in data analysis, reporting or business intelligence will be an asset.
  • Experience working with external service providers in a technical support environment will be an asset.

 

Core Competencies

Professional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision.
  • Ability to automate reports and spreadsheets through VBA, pivot tables, macros and formulas.
  • Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI and coding skills such as SQL or Python will be beneficial.
  • Ability to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams with understanding and guidance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both client-facing and internal.
