The incumbent is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and supervising the work of all site operatives, ensuring that all work is delivered safely on time and within budget along with managing equipment and materials required.

The Role: The incumbent is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and supervising the work of all site operatives, ensuring that all work is delivered safely on time and within budget along with managing equipment and materials required. This involves ensuring all Company policies and laws are implemented, that all required documentation is completed as necessary and appropriate record keeping done.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 (1)                   Assign and supervise work tasks to teams and outline the requirements for the job.

(2)                    Ensure the completion of works on time and within budget.

(3)                    Schedule, coordinate and supervise the daily activities of teams and work crew.

(4)                    Ensure all work is carried out in keeping with company guidelines.

(5)                    Conduct, assess and amend risk policy as needed and host briefings.

(6)                    Ensure workers have relevant training requirements and assign understudy for new staff.

(7)                    Ensure documentation is properly completed in line with Company requirements.

(8)                    Ensure work crew completes all required documentation.

(9)                    Track and document daily work outputs identifying any issues with efficiency.

(10)              Oversee the issuing and return of materials and equipment for projects and jobs ensuring reconciliationwith issue against usage.

(11)             Calculate material quantities, costs, and project timelines.

(12)              Take prudent steps to ensure that costs are reduced, and efficiency is exercised in the handling of all joband project assignments.

(13)             Monitor safety practices, wearing of PPEs, building progress, material needs.

(14)              Advise senior team members of challenges, pitfalls and hurdles encountered during work andany impact it may have on cost.

(15)              Prepare monthly reports on projects.

(16)              Organize and monitor the work of subcontractors on site, equipment, and materials management.

(19)              Coordinate delivery/pick up of materials as required.

 

Qualifications:

 (1)             BSc in Building Construction or equivalent

(2)             2 years’ progressive experience in a construction or complementary field.

(3)             High integrity

(4)             Analytical and Problem-Solving skills.

(5)             Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and ability to use customized software.

(6)             Able to supervise teams and work crews.
