Programme Assistant

The Job: The Programme Assistant will ensure that student concerns, queries and other questions are resolved; effectively maintain student records; prepare all correspondence and reports as directed.

The HR Division invites suitably qualified persons to apply for the following vacant position in the in the Academic Affairs Division:

PROGRAMME ASSISTANT

The Job:

The Programme Assistant will:

• ensure that student concerns, queries and other questions are resolved;
• effectively maintain student records;
• prepare all correspondence and reports as directed;
• liaise with the head of department to develop timetables and schedules and also arrange meetings as required;
• provide accurate information to the public via the telephone, e-mail, facsimile, or in person;
• initiate and draft responses to correspondence for the head of department as required;
• handle routine administrative matters as directed.

Requirements:    

The successful candidate must have:

• an associate of science degree or equivalent;
• two (2) years’ working experience with at least one (1) year engaging in departmental coordination activities;
• excellent interpersonal and customer service skills;
• excellent oral and written communication skills;
• strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite;
• an ability to work in a collaborative manner with all stakeholders.
