Reporting to the Production Coordinator, the PP Team Leader is accountable for supervising packing plant production processes to ensure that quality standards are met in conjunction with maximum production requirements.

Objective

 

Reporting to the Production Coordinator, the PP Team Leader is accountable for supervising packing plant production processes to ensure that quality standards are met in conjunction with maximum production requirements. The PP Team Leader manages the Packing Plant staff to operate and control the production process in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner. Guarantee the continuity of maintenance processes (autonomous, predictive, and corrective).

 

Main Responsibilities include:   

 Supervision:

  • Supervises packing plant process to optimize the production of cement to achieve budgeted targets.
  • Ensure that manpower is effectively utilized to achieve budgeted targets.
  • Follows up the shift operations through the work instructions given by the Production Coordinator to fill in gaps and ensure the continuity of work and smoothness of operations.
  • Records the functional problems to provide control over the shift activities.
  • Ensures that staff adheres to the Company’s HSEQ policies and procedures and reports any unsafe act or condition immediately.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain constant control over production material procurement and storage to ensure that the plant operates in an efficient manner.
  • Maintain adequate stocks of bags (small and jumbo) to maintain continuous operations.
  • Monitors all inputs to ensure that they are manufactured according to quality specifications.

 

Reporting & Meetings

  • Report on all unscheduled packing plants and major equipment stoppages.
  • Attend daily meetings with production team.
  • Prepares shift reports to keep the Production Coordinator well informed about work progress.
    • Reports operational abnormalities to the maintenance department and follows up to ensure proper response and work continuity.

 

  • Supplies accurate data for timely preparation of payroll.

 

  • Prepare and monitor the financial budget applicable to operations in accordance with company policy and Finance Manager’s schedules.
  • Ensures the housekeeping and cleanliness of work area and machinery is maintained by respective operating personnel to have trouble free running of the plant and bring equipment to show room condition.
  • Perform any other job-related functions as required.

 

 

Required Education/Expertise/Skills:

  • Diploma or associate degree in any Engineering.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Excellent Supervisory skills. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and within a team-based environment. 
    • Able to work on shift. 

 

 

Required Experience:

  • Experience in a supervisor role or similar at least three years.
  • Knowledge of production process.
  • Maintenance knowledge
