A leading manufacturer and distributor of retail products  is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced national to fill the vacant position of Production Director

Job Summary and Responsibilities:

• The production director is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating, in accordance with Company policies and procedures, the human, material and equipment resources to ensure that production, quality and quantity requirements are met on a timely basis, costs are within budgetary standards, and best manufacturing practices are utilized in the achievement of the company’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manages all production operations including the directing and coordinating of all resources to ensure production, quality and quantity requirements are met and within budgetary standards.
• Plans and coordinates manufacturing activities to meet established goals and targets
• Establishes production standards to meet Company and customer requirements.
• Develops a continuous improvement culture utilizing lean manufacturing principles.
• Develops implementing roles, responsibilities, positions and desired results for all direct reports, ensuring optimum manpower for safe and efficient operations.
• Prepares budgetary requirements accurately and on a timely basis.
• Maintains accurate inventory of products.
• Ensures establishment of and adherence to procedures to maintain quality standards
• Ensures a safe work environment for all employees.
• Fosters a culture that reflects company's core values
• Nurtures customer relationships and is responsive to their needs.
• Establishes and maintains positive employee relations.
• Routinely reviews policy systems and processes to ensure maximum efficiency and cost effectiveness of operations.
• Complies with OSHA and Company safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitors all metrics goals.
• Performs other related duties as required by the job function.

Education and Experience:

• A Bachelors Degree in Management or a combination of equivalent education and work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a food production management role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
• Excellent communication skills
• Creative problem solving skills
