The Pricing Coordinator will oversee the implementation of pricing decisions derived from contractual relationships with current or prospective clients within the designated area, ensuring accurate and timely billing for all services and/or products. This role involves collaborating with upper management and local commercial departments to align pricing strategies with sales objectives. Additionally, the coordinator will analyze local market trends, oversee adherence to pricing policies, and ensure that pricing decisions are in line with profitability goals. From a pricing perspective, they will promote the implementation of policies, practices, methodologies, and tools for each local business unit, providing training and support to teams and ensuring profitability expectations for each station within its competitive environment. Moreover, the Pricing Coordinator will be involved in local portfolio processes, constantly monitoring and coordinating the resolution of potential discrepancies impacting revenue collection.

Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead, motivate, and support teams directly and indirectly involved in pricing processes (costs, culinary, commercial, marketing), fostering a pricing culture in the station based on the relationship between price and value.
  • Monitor project outcomes presented by the station, identifying opportunities and weaknesses in proposals.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of the market and competitive environment, gathering and analyzing competitive data and variables impacting station profitability.
  • Lead pricing for projects and/or special tenders previously identified.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize profits and achieve business goals in the station.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership team to align pricing strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Enhance pricing management processes and tools by introducing new data gathering techniques and recommending improvements.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of pricing data, including price point analysis, margin impact, and profitability, and provide recommendations to Leadership based on findings.
  • Participate in Commodity Reviews and contribute insights for pricing decisions.
  • Monitor sales trends and identify factors contributing to fluctuations in performance.
  • Provide training and support to the sales team to ensure adherence to pricing guidelines.
  • Maintain and update pricing models and projections to reflect current market conditions and anticipate future pricing opportunities and challenges.
  • Engage in the process of defining costs by business unit, understanding the methodologies and practices used at each station.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing, cost analysis, commercial planning, financial planning, billing, and collection in manufacturing or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies.
  • Strategic pricing experience.
  • Vendor, data, and database management skills preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office products.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Analytical skills with a track record of gathering and interpreting data to draw actionable conclusions.
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Sound business acumen with a general understanding of manufacturing processes and practices considered a plus.
  • Able to communicate in English orally and in writing; Spanish would be an asset
