Optical Service Representative

Assist in the Dispensing and adjustment of ophthalmic eyewear, exceed the weekly sales target by successfully completing as many sales transactions as possible, while consistently providing service beyond customer’s expectations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales targets.
• Attend and provide appropriate reports at weekly sales meeting.
• Ensure that customers receive service that exceeds their expectations.
• Explain terms and conditions of appropriate optical care techniques and credit contract clearly to the customer.
• Assist in the Dispensing and adjustment of ophthalmic eyewear.
• Complete stock and sales reports daily.
• Build and maintain Customer Client base.
• Establish contact within 30 seconds of the customer entering the store.
• Effectively Identify customer needs, escalating issue in a timely manner.
• Keep customers advised of delivery changes/issues.
• Answer the telephone promptly and courteously.
• Ensure that assigned area is clean tidy and products are appropriately tagged.
• Ensure all documents/processes pertaining to each sale are correctly and thoroughly completed.
• Have complete knowledge of all products sold by COURTS Optical.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Minimum of 5 CXC including English Language.

 REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of 2 years working in Optical Retail sales.
• Willingness and aptitude to learn optical dispensing, repairs, prescription interpretation and quality assurance.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Highly motivated by targets.
• Computer Literate.
• Basic Numeracy.
• Ability to communicate in both oral and written forms.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Legible handwriting.
