National Lotteries Control Board

The National Lotteries Control Board (NLCB) is a Statutory Authority under section 3(2) of the Statutory Authorities Act (Chapter 24:01) and falls under the purview of the Ministry of Finance.  National Lotteries Control Board was established on August 12th, 1968 by an Act of Parliament to promote, organise, and conduct National Lotteries and is the only body authorised to do so.

The National Lotteries Control Board has an agent network of over 1200, a portfolio of eight games and through its network provides commercial services to enhance and decentralize access for citizens. These all contribute to NLCB’s revenue surpassing the three-billion-dollar mark and increasing the contribution to the Consolidated and the Sports and Culture Funds. NLCB has also created over 200 millionaires since the introduction of Lotto.

The NLCB has 3 office locations in Port of Spain, San Fernando and Tobago that allows it to satisfy its mandate to the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The NLCB also fulfils its corporate social responsibility mandate by supporting “good causes” through sponsorship under the pillars of Sport, Culture, Youth, Education and Community Development.
