Responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems during the development and construction phases of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP systems, quality control processes, and construction standards.

Job Summary:

The MEP QA/QC (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Quality Assurance/Quality Control) Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems during the development and construction phases of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP systems, quality control processes, and construction standards.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality inspections and audits of MEP installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures for MEP systems, including testing and commissioning plans.
  • Review MEP shop drawings, materials submittals, and construction documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve any quality-related issues.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor MEP installations and identify potential quality issues.
  • Prepare quality reports and documentation, including non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective action plans.
  • Participate in meetings with project teams to discuss QA/QC requirements, progress, and solutions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to ensure MEP systems meet performance and efficiency standards.
  • Collaborate with third-party testing agencies and inspectors as needed

 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Buildertrend).


Education and Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in MEP QA/QC within the construction industry, preferably with residential and commercial projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Experience in conducting inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, etc.

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license (Group 2 or higher)


Salary range is based on qualifications and experience, plus an attractive bonus scheme and statutory benefits as required by Cayman Islands Law (Medical and Pension).
