MANAGER – CREDIT SERVICES

The Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) seeks to identify suitable applicants for the position of:

 MANAGER – CREDIT SERVICES 

This position is accountable for the achievement of investment  and new job creation targets and to ensure the quality of DBJ’s portfolio, in order that the Bank meets its objectives. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage a team of Account Executives and a portfolio of high value, loan and investment accounts with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of credit and risk management and reporting.
• Undertake and direct the credit appraisal/approval process; the conduct of due diligence, credit risk appraisal; negotiation and structuring.
• Monitor the financial performance of the Bank’s loans and investments and make recommendations for improving such performance including initiating and supervising recovery proceedings where applicable.
• Review and update credit appraisal models and templates for loan evaluation and approval to ensure best practices. 

The required minimum qualifications, experiences and attributes are:

• Masters  in Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Knowledge of Investment Banking products, services and processes
• Computer literacy (should be able to use electronic spreadsheets and word processing programmes).
• Strong, analytical, conceptual and decision-making skills
• Must  be flexible, results-oriented and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication  skills.
• A minimum of five (5) years practical  related experience in the financial industry at a senior level.
