The Legal Officer will be required to review General Insurance policy wordings and liability and prepare agreements on behalf of the Company.

The Legal Officer will also be required to evaluate legislation which affect the Company’s operations. The individual will prepare briefs to Instructing Attorneys and Counsel, assess and respond to correspondence from Attorney’s.
The applicant will aid in the negotiation and settlement of Claims.
The Person:
The applicant must possess the following:-
Ø Practicing Attorney-at-Law with a minimum of two (2) years experience
Ø Working knowledge of the laws governing the insurance industry
Ø Possess a sound working knowledge of the Rules of Civic Procedure
Ø Strong negotiation and mediation skills are essential
Ø Excellent communication skills both oral and written
Ø Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications
Applicants must also have good problem solving and decision making skills, and be able to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
