LANDSCAPING MANAGER

GoldenEye is in search of a Landscaping Manager who will report to the General Manager and be responsible for grounds including sprinkler and irrigation systems, landscaping, beach areas and environmental practices such as waste management. 

 The successful candidate would:

  1. Manage the maintenance and upkeep of the areas under control and supervise the employees accordingly;
  2. Maintain an inventory and plans of plants, tools, equipment and supplies;
  3. Manage irrigation and other methods of ensuring plants are kept healthy;
  4. Manage the nursery to provide plants, herbs, vegetables, etc., for the hotel;
  5. Design, implement and maintain systems and standard procedures for environmentally-friendly waste disposal including a compost system;
  6. Establish safety and security policies and procedures for the department;
  7. Prepare annual and periodic budgets as well as establishing cost for special projections and maintenance needs;
  8. Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Landscape Manager, preferably at a hotel;
  9. Be a graduate of a recognized Tertiary institution in designated field;
  10. Have extensive knowledge of environmental and horticultural practices;
  11. Possess mechanical aptitude to conduct light repairs on lawn equipment and machinery;
  12. Have supervisory skills with experience in managing a grounds team of 20 or more;
  13. Be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
  14. Possess excellent communication and organizational skills;
