JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY

Junior Information Systems Administrator is primarily responsible for providing support to the Senior Systems Administrator in the execution of a range of administrative tasks which keeps the company’s IT infrastructure in good health.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install, configure and maintain - Active Directory, DNS and DHCP server; Virtualization (VMware) and physical sever; Computer hardware, software, systems, networks, and IT related devices (routers, switches, printers, etc.).
  • Create and maintain users’ accounts.
  • Install and configure antivirus software to protect company’s data assets.
  • Assist with installing updates and patches on servers and workstations.
  • Monitor and maintain Firewall equipment (SonicWALL) to protect network; VPN connections for remote access; Company’s emails and websites; Company’s PBX system; ISP services (cable, internet, and telephone)
  • Provide technical support to staff and respond timely to queries and requests via phone and email.
  • Monitor network to ensure network availability to all users and perform the necessary maintenance to support network availability.
  • Assists with performing frequent backups of servers and shared drives of the company’s data assets.
  • Monitor System status of servers and UPS.
  • Monitor temperate levels within the Server Room and network cabinets in order to maintain optimum performance of servers, switches and other related devices.

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of experience in the field.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Windows Desktop and Networking environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in Information Technology.

WORKING HOURS:
