This key role would be the principal driver of all initiatives aligned with the organization’s mandate.

CORE FUNCTIONS

 

  • Execute efficiency initiatives that have inter- and intra-divisional/company impact and result in significant improvements in efficiency and productivity. 
  • Constantly drive employees to constantly seek ways to streamline processes and reduce waste and contribute to the creation of an environment where productivity is optimized. This involves implementing strategies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Agile, which focus on identifying and eliminating inefficiencies.
  • Steer the organization towards data-driven decision-making. By leveraging technology and analytics, this leader helps identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement which facilitates the company’s informed decision making that helps to optimize productivity. Implementing productivity metrics and performance indicators allows the leadership of the organization to track progress and ensure we move in the right direction.
  • Catalyze cross-functional collaboration. By breaking down silos and encouraging teams to work together towards common objectives, this role helps eliminate duplication of effort and maximizes productivity. Implementing collaborative tools and fostering a culture of open communication contributes to seamless collaboration across teams, units, divisions, and subsidiaries.
  • Drive an enterprise-wide continuous improvement (CI) mindset and build capability to embed CI methodologies and tools across all levels of the business using a hands-on, business partnering approach, for business operations to deliver financial and customer value.
  • Effectively partner with the Operational Risk Management team to enhance and enable the execution of operational risk management practices through ongoing review of enterprise-wide business processes.
  • Establish and maintain productivity and efficiency metrics frameworks that provide insight into the impact of process improvement implementation, digital adoption and changes in operating model.

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Banking, Finance, or related field from a recognized institution. 
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Computer Science preferred. 
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience, including three (3) years in Process Design or Lean. 
  • Project Management or Agile certification required. 
  • Formal training in process improvement tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) required. 
  • Additional certifications such as Six Sigma, BPM, Lean Six Sigma, or Business Analysis advantageous. 
  • Experience in team leadership, cross-functional execution, operational risk management, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Proficiency in business and financial analysis, process improvement, and workflow documentation. 
  • Understanding of digitization and digital principles preferred.

 

Required Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills, capable of inspiring high performance and talent development. 
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, influencing at the Leadership Team level. 
  • Skilled coach, empowering individuals and teams while demonstrating leadership capability. 
  • Subject Matter Expertise in CI with practical experience in Lean/Six Sigma programs. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. 
  • Change-oriented with a willingness to challenge current thinking constructively. 
  • Experience in senior-level stakeholder management and driving impact from complex programs. 
  • Versatile problem-solving approach, spanning various methodologies including Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, and Design Thinking.
