General Worker (VEMCO)

The successful candidate will ensure that all products are properly stored, labeled, coded, sealed, cartooned and packaged to the standard level dictated by Quality Control.

Responsibilities: 

• Ensure that the product is filled to the standard level dictated by Quality Control.
• Ensures that each jar/bottle/tub is covered securely.
•    Ensures that each jar/bottle/tub has a safety seal where applicable. The seal must also be at an appropriate height.
• Ensures that each jar/bottle/tub has a label, which is placed evenly, and there must be only one label on each jar/bottle/tub.
• Ensures that the correct code is on  each jar/bottle/tub/sachet (where applicable) and the code is clear and  not printed near the bar code or on any part of the ingredients listing or nutritional facts.
•  Ensure that each jar/bottle/tub packed into the case possesses a label, safety seal (where applicable) and a clean external surface. Also, he/she must ensure that each case contains the required number of jars/bottles/tubs/sachets.
• Ensures that the work area and equipment are maintained in a clean orderly manner throughout the day.
• To work with Production leaders and maintenance personnel in supporting the implementation of solutions which minimize loss of material during production. 

Position Requirements: 

• 3 ‘O’ Levels or CXC passes and /or vocational qualifications
• Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset

• An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
