The Location
Our legendary distillery nestled in the picturesque Nassau Valley on Jamaica’s South coast is home to the Appleton Estate Rum Tour. The Appleton Estate Rum Tour was opened in 1988 to showcase the Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum brand to visitors to the Island. A visit to the Appleton Estate Rum Tour, will take you on a journey through time to learn about the history of rum and an insider’s look at how the finest rum in the world is produced.

If you are influential, entrepreneurial and highly committed to exceptional customer service and positive guest experiences, then you may be the ideal candidate for the General Manager – Appleton Estate Rum Tour (AERT) position in our Marketing Department located in Siloah, St. Elizabeth.
The General Manager would be responsible for managing Appleton Estate Rum Tour operations and providing overall leadership in the Centre’s continuing effort to deliver exceptional customer experience service and financial profitability. The ideal candidate would also be in charge of the overall operations of AERT, including duties ranging from hiring new employees, managing schedules for the culinary, retail, tour, security and operations personnel, creating budgets and managing operating expenses in addition to ensuring that marketing and public relations guidelines are being met.
Key Activities
Profile
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position in local or multinational company.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: Recreation and Leisure Services Management, Recreation Administration or Hospitality Management (MBA would be an advantage)
- Knowledge of Tourism attraction industry
- Strong people leadership capabilities with process success in managing high performing teams and driving team member engagement
- Self-organized and autonomous
