GROUP QUANTITY SURVEYOR

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and assessing the project costs on works undertaken. He/She must be familiar with JCT, FIDIC and AIA forms of contract and be proficient in disputes under such forms. This is a full time position based in Montego Bay with travel to Sandals and Beaches resort developments as necessary.

Applicants should satisfy the following minimum requirements:

• Member of JIQS or RICS
• Strong organizational and communication skills with personality to motivate and lead
• Track record and ability to plan strategically plan in terms of cost management across a multitude of projects
• Efficiently and competent problem solver
• Must be an self-starter / initiator, able to achieve deadlines
• Must have an understanding of cost/procurement in both ff&e and construction works.
• Experience in insurance claims and assessment, professional consultants fee bids, appointments and contracts
• Must be able to travel as required

Qualification and Experience

• Minimum of a Bachelor degree in a related discipline, ideally with similar/complimentary post graduate qualifications
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience, preferably with mixed contracting and professional background within the construction industry
• Must be computer literate, including excel, word and project
