Filler Operator

The Filler Operator has responsibility to operate the Filler machines efficiently and safely in keeping preset speeds.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate the Filler machines at a steady speed to achieve optimum line efficiency and quality ratings
• Monitor the cap hopper to keep steady cap flow to the capping machine
• Maintain product fill level within compliance
• Maintain the Brix and carbonation level within specification
• Complete flavour change over in an efficient manner within quality compliance
• Perform minor maintenance to Fillers and adjust Fillers based on product size
• Complete sanitation (3-Step, 5-Step CIP etc.) as required
• Maintain accurate logs for quality checks, downtime reports, critical control points (CCPs), and operating conditions
• Operate in accordance with the following International Standards: Occupational Health and Environment, Quality Management Systems and Food Safety respectively
• Maintain a Safe and Healthy Work Environment
• Any other duty assigned within the scope of the job

  JOB SPECIFICATION/COMPETENCIES [Minimum]

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Certificate or Diploma from a recognized technical institution such as HEART NTEI with at least one (1) year experience in a Production environment
• Good communication skills – written and verbal with the ability to report technical information with clarity
• Trained in the use of computers including MS Office (Word, Excel)
• Good analytical, problem solving and time management skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to function well individually and on a team in a demanding work environment
