Provide technical guidance and assistance to the managers, supervisors and other team leaders in the company in the implementation of the company’s Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies, procedures and practices.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure all accidents and incidents are reported in a timely basis to the HSEQ and Operations Managers
  • Maintain all Health, Safety and Environment records and submitting reports as necessary to as reporting monthly to the HSEQ Manager
  • Safety Audit Reports of the Company’s Safety practices including equipment inspection are conducted and entered into database.
  • Prepare a Safety Analysis for all projects.
  • Liaise with clients and HSE Team Lead to address any issues which may arise during the course of the job
  • Develop and maintain a program for the implementation of the Health, Safety & Environmental Policy
  • Provide information, instruction and competent supervision to all Safety policy issues
  • Prepare and distribute to all Managers, Supervisors and Project Managers regular reports on the status of Safety issues and Safety program
  • Recommend disciplinary action for repeat violators of safety rules
  • Conduct personal inspections or designate someone to do so to ensure conformity with the policy
  • Conduct client/supplier audits/work pack audits as directed
  • Assist with execution/communication of Safety campaigns at designated location

-        Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years core HSE work experience supporting in a field/ site capacity.
  • The ideal candidate should have pipeline construction experience or experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Technical knowledge and experience in risk assessment, emergency response planning & execution, incident investigation, hazard identification, HSE assurance exercises and equipment inspections.
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of HSE legislation and regulations.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good team player and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Academic Qualifications
    • Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate – Level 3
  • Training
    • Basic HSE (Onshore) Training Safety Course or TBOSIET
