ATL Automotive is seeking to hire a proactive and skilled individual to join our team as a Facility Maintenance Officer for our multisite automotive company. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our facilities across multiple locations.

Facility Maintenance Officer

Your primary objective will be to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our facilities, including buildings, equipment, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks across various sites.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and potential improvements.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate and oversee repair and maintenance activities, both in-house and through external contractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair costs, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks, minimizing disruptions to operations.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and efficiently, ensuring a quick resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations and ensure that facilities meet all applicable codes and standards.
  • Develop and implement energy conservation initiatives to reduce utility costs and promote sustainability.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of facility maintenance operations.
  • Train and educate facility staff on proper equipment usage, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in facility maintenance management.
  • Any other duties assigned by Manager in keeping with scope and competence.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Certification in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications or vocational training in facility maintenance will be considered.
  • Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a multisite environment within the automotive industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex maintenance issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility to travel between multiple sites as required.
