FACILITIES SUPERVISOR

The Job: 

The Facilities Supervisor will be responsible for the planning, organising and delivery of all day-to-day facility maintenance
activities. The incumbent will directly supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance technicians, custodial staff, facilities support staff and contractors.

Requirements:

The successful candidate must have:

• a minimum of a higher national diploma in an engineering discipline from a recognised tertiary institution. A bachelor’s degree in engineering will be an asset;
• at least five (5) years experience in a building or facility maintenance environment with at least three (3) years in a supervisory position;
• knowledge of the OSH Act and other statutory and regulatory building codes;
• extensive knowledge of maintenance management principles and standards;
• a working knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems;
• proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
• excellent interpersonal and leadership skills;
• excellent oral and written communication skills;
• the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships;
• good conflict resolution skills.
• a valid motor vehicle license;

The ideal candidate must be flexible with work schedules.
