Executive/Head Chef

The Trident Hotel is looking for talented and experienced staff members for our Luxury Boutique Hotel.  Situated in the unspoiled Parish of Port Antonio, Jamaica, it currently caters to 13 Villas and 8 rooms, as well as large scale special events.  Applicants must be hands-on, instructive leaders, able to work accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment as well as efficiently during slow periods.  They must possess a valid food handler’s permit and strong computer skills.

Executive/Head Chef

This person is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the hotel kitchen, events and functions; offering diverse menus of the highest quality.  

Applicants must have:

  • Minimum 6 years cooking experience and 2 years food supervisory experience.
  • Graduate from a Hotel and/or Culinary Arts School or equivalent, preferred.
  • An energetic and creative demeanor with experience in menu development and costing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in purchasing, cost management and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, POS and Hotel Management systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, training and organizational skills.
