The Eastern Regional Health Authority (ERHA)is one of five (5) autonomous statutory bodies established by an Act of Parliament in 1994 to ensure health care service delivery to respective regions in Trinidad and Tobago.
This region services approximately one third (1/3) of the Trinidad stretching from Matelot in the North to Guayaguayare, Rio Claro and Brothers Road in the South, to Valencia in the East.
Promoting wellness and cost effective, consumer focused, quality health care service is the mission of the ERHA. The Health Facilities include one (1) Hospital and a network of sixteen (16) Primary Health Care facilities strategically placed throughout the region.
In 2006, this region emerged winner of a number of quality awards including the Provider Agency Award in the National Public Sector Health Quality Awards.
