The Tobago Regional Health Authority is responsible for the provision of healthcare throughout Tobago. Key services are offered at the Scarborough General Hospital, Tobago Emergency Medical Services and Primary Care Health Centres.

Job Summary:

This employee will report to the Foreman II CME/Chargehand II CME Engineering. He/she must be able to install, maintain and repair electrical motors, wiring and switch systems on electro mechanical plant and machinery, building and other structures according to electrical codes.

Tasks Include:

• Installing, maintaining and repairing alternating current and direct motors and their associated switch gears.
• Reading drawings and specifications to determine positioning of wiring system.
• Installing armored cables to feed electrical motors and fixtures in the plant, building and /or other structures.
• Attaching lighting fixtures, wall outlets and switches.
• Earthing plant and building against lightening. Switching on current, testing electrical circuits and wiring.
• Caring and maintaining tools and equipment related to the work performed.
• Performing any other related duties.

Requirements:

• Should be in possession of a Wireman’s License (compulsory).
• Possession of Craftsman Certificate or any other similar certification from a recognized educational institution.
• Three (3) years’ experience as an Electrician.
