The Southern Regional Health Authority (SRHA), a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Health responsible for the management and operation of Public Health Services within the Parishes of Clarendon, Manchester and St. Elizabeth, invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the following position:
Director of Nursing Services (HPC/RN 5)

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer the incumbent will be responsible for establishing and maintaining an organizational framework for the delivery of optimal patient care. This officer plans, organizes, leads, controls, coordinates the nursing activities in a type “C” Hospital
REQUIIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Professional nursing theory and practice
- Principles of hospital administration and modern management practices
- Ability to identify the need to organize and participate in effective in-service training
- Nursing, health and related legislation
- National Health & Organizational Policy
- Research methodology, human resources management, industrial relations,
financial management, and health informatics
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Certificate/BSc. in General Nursing and a Certificate in Midwifery from an accredited institution
- MSc./BSc./Certificate in Nursing Administration
Plus
- Current registration with the Nursing Council of Jamaica in General Nursing and Midwifery
- Minimum of five (5) years including Nursing Management in addition to clinical practice
