The Delivery Team Leader is responsible for the delivery of a safe, high value, highly integrated service related to Engineering & Construction and for the continuous improvement of this service in alignment with business drivers.

Key Duties:

  • Delivery of business performance targets for Integrated Delivery of Projects at any of its stages (Evaluation, Engineering and Procurement, Fabrication and Construction, Close out)
  • Applies the Massy Wood Group processes and HSSE policies for all types of projects, including emergencies.
  • Is responsible for the delivery of the projects within the asset under his responsibility.
  • Leads the implementation of project and construction management processes to enhance the integrity, reliability, availability and of the facilities.
  • Effective application of Client and Company Policies and Principles to the business benefit of all parties contracted.
  • Monitoring, measurement and review of all significant aspects of the business that influence performance, taking necessary action to improve performance and achieve targets and agreed KPIs.
  • Provides visible leadership and clear direction, targets and accountabilities.
  • Takes personal responsibility for promoting and supporting continuous improvement activities within all aspects of the business under their sphere of influence.
  • Motivates and develops a high performing team with a culture driven by continuous performance improvement.
  • Initiates and progress such action as necessary to maintain standard of quality, safety, efficiency, planned progress and conformity to project contractual requirements and specifications.
  • Addresses disciplinary issues and completes the performance appraisal, both interim and annual, with the coordinators, supervisors, planners and other direct reports.

General Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Chemical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in the execution of onshore and offshore projects in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and trustworthiness
  • Ability to synthesise complex or diverse information
  • Ability to work effectively and prioritise in a high performance, fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to delegate work assignments, give authority to work independently, set expectations and monitor delegated activities
  • Includes staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating and process improvement; makes self available to staff; provides regular performance feedback; and develops subordinates’ skills and encourages growth.
  • Inspires and motivates others to work well and accepts feedback.
  • Seeks ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ability to make decisions in a timely manner and exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
  • Extremely self-motivated with excellent supervisory and organisational skills combined with very good technical judgement.
  • Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly
  • Intermediate computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.

An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements. Please also note that the successful candidate may be required to attend duties at the Client’s facilities as needed.
