Creative Content Lead (CCL)

The Creative Content Lead is a professional team member with the authority and responsibility for the managing, building and creation of creative content for online and offline projects related to the brand in focus. The CCL is the department head of the Creative Content Unit. The CCL executes the creative content strategies by performing duties where applicable in the following areas:

  Integrated Content Strategy and Planning

  1. Develops annual and medium term (5 year) creative content strategy for F1RST.
  2. Develops strategy that guides creative content for increased engagement in the B2C and B2B environments.
  3. Fosters an inspiration-driven environment of benchmarking for content.
  4. Creates and refines long term innovation maps on the advice of the Executive Management Team.

 

 Creative Content Portfolio Management

  1. Creates and monitors the portfolio of integrated content and communications activities that work toward growth and development of the following focus areas:
  2. Journalistic, Branding & Marketing Writing
  3. Editorial & Copywriting
  4. Multimedia Content Selection & Review
  5. Business Research & Analytics
  6. Analyses content portfolio spends and returns on investment (ROI) to report on performance and refinement of programmes & projects.
  7. Works with the Creative Content Unit to advise on effective and efficient project rollout.

 

 Creative Content Curation Administration

  1. Designs, develops, implements and refines the content management systems, guidelines and procedures, applicable to the F1RST brand.
  2. Develops and refines Brand Identity Statements that guide the way we do things at F1RST in terms of content.
  3. Develops policies for all content programmes.

 

 Finance, Performance and Supply Chain Management

  1. Prepares financial projections on a quarterly and annual basis.
  2. Manages and ensure accurate financial reconciliation on all creative content projects and programmes.
  3. Monitors decision making metrics for refinement of the content portfolio

 

People, Leadership and Management

  1. Provides leadership to the CCU team to achieve programme/project goals.
  2. Modifies personal approach and style to reflect the changing programme/project environment.
  3. Where required, negotiate with other department and team leads for the acquisition/assignment of required personnel from within the companies.
  4. Coaches, mentors, motivate and supervise CCU team members; and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  5. Creates and monitors systems for Creative Content Performance Management (CCPM) for various projects and external providers.

Reporting Relationship

The Creative Content Lead reports to the Line Director for Marketing. The Community Manager, Creative Content Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator and Creative Content Associates report to the Creative Content Lead.

Role Advancement

It is expected as the organisations grow, the Creative Content Team will mature. The role of the Creative Content Lead will evolve through the addition of new assignments, and the expansion or removal of current assignments in the Strategic Business Units of the current company, its subsidiary or sister company/ies.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Creative Writing, English, Journalism, Marketing, Media Studies, Public Relations or related field from an accredited degree-granting tertiary institution. Candidates with an Associate’s Degree in the required field(s) will be considered provided that he/she has the necessary experiences.
