Our client, a medium-sized Pan-Caribbean law firm with offices in several regional territories and in London, in a deliberate move is now seeking to recruit a Country Managing Partner for their Jamaica office.

The Role

Currently specializing in corporate, commercial and conveyancing, the Country Managing Partner is charged with increasing the range of service offerings to mirror those in other jurisdictions, with specific emphasis on International Business and developing a strong Litigation practice.  The emphasis is on aggressively marketing the Firm to impact the book of business and expand the operation across the island, providing the potential for the successful candidate to enhance his/her own professional profile in Jamaica and the Region.  

Preferred Profile

• §Be a qualified Attorney at Law of at least 10 years call
• §Certified to practice in Jamaica and preferably in other jurisdictions
• §Good standing in the community and well respected professional
• §Bring a significant book of business and/or capable of building a portfolio of business.
• §Strong and rounded people management skills, to be able to mentor, coach and guide Associates extract high performance and cultivate an infrastructure of support.
• §Professional presence, a positive and innovative thinker, a confident communicator with excellent conceptual and listening skills, possessing the ability to interact credibly and comfortably at all levels.
