Job Summary

To develop and maintain the Banks budgeting, financial planning and control, accounting and reporting policies and practices for effective management decision making.
To oversee the management of the Information System Department.
To serve as a member of the Bank’s Executive Management team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Directs and coordinates the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements to provide for informed decision making of Management and the Board of Directors
2. Manages the preparation of annual budgets and other long term budgets including revenue and expenses budgets and cash flow budgets
3. Develops accounting policies and update accounting systems for Board consideration and approval consistent with International Financial Reporting Standards
4. Evaluates foreign exchange risks and opportunities for Board consideration.
5. Signs cheques, documents and approve payments in accordance with the approved schedule of financial authorities
6. Directs and coordinates the Bank’s integrated Management Information Systems.
7. Ensures the physical security of the computer installations and operating security of the systems
8. Ensures the effective and efficient administration and maintenance of Bank assets and support services
9. Analyses the financial performance of the Bank and makes appropriate recommendations to the CEO
10. Preparation of Management Reports as requested
11. Ensuring that all necessary reports and schedules are prepared on a timely basis to facilitate External Audits as required by regulation.
12. Makes recommendation to ensure that the financial resources of the Bank are adequately utilized
13. Any other duties assigned by the CEO

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Professional Accounting qualification such as ACCA,CIMA,CMA.
MBA in Finance.
Professional or specialized training and/or exposure to all areas in finance and working.
Knowledge of Information Technology systems and applications.
Minimum of six (6) years industry experience with exposure to modern Accounting practices, Banking and Management Information Systems.
