Ensures the effective and efficient administration of the organisation’s CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System), including assurance of its performance, information quality and access levels.

Key Duties:

  • Lead the management and proper utilisation of MAXIMO as the primary tool for maintenance management.
  • Analyse the information load into MAXIMO and develop strategies to optimise and get the best planning and execution results from its design and configuration.
  • Lead the utilisation, development and interface between software and reporting tools to support and improve the maintenance and reliability performance.
  • Lead the input and configuration of equipment and maintenance strategies into MAXIMO (defined forms and data standards).
  • Lead the process of continuous improvement in the use of MAXIMO related processes.
  • Support and train the organisation in the use of MAXIMO. Assess manpower requirements based on maintenance strategy.
  • Provide technical support being able to direct and troubleshoot the MAXIMO system.
  • Interact with the MAXIMO consultants to solve queries and system problems.
  • Aid in the compilation of agreed Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports and generate periodic maintenance reports from available information in MAXIMO.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • A minimum of six (6) years’ experience performing a similar role.
  • Experience using a CMMS ideally MAXIMO.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of maintenance, planning and scheduling concepts.
  • Knowledge of maintenance strategies and available maintenance technologies (preventive and predictive maintenance, as well as condition monitoring).
  • Experience and good management of information systems.
  • Ability to synthesise complex or diverse information.
  • Ability to work effectively and prioritise in a high performance, fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be a good communicator and team player with a high degree of self-motivation.
  • Inspires and motivates others to work well and accepts feedback.
  • Seeks ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Ability to make decisions in a timely manner and exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
  • Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and trustworthiness.
  • Intermediate Computer skills with proficiency in MS Office.

An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements. Please also note that the successful candidate may be required to attend duties at the Client’s facilities as needed.
