Our client in the Marketing and Distribution Industry is seeking to fill the position of Application and Infrastructure Specialist.

Overview

Users assigned to this role will be providing technical expertise in three main areas:

• Epicor 10 Application
• Infrastructure (Cloud and On-Premise)
• Helpdesk Support

Minimum Qualifications

• Five (5) O-Level Passes (including Math & English)
• A-Level Passes
• Bachelor’s Degree in Management/Computer Information Systems, or equivalent.
• MCP / MCSD / MCSE / MSCA or MCITP Certified
• Network / Cloud / Datacenter Certifications
• Any equivalent combination of qualifications from the above

Note: Microsoft Certifications must be recent or still recognized/supported 

Basic Knowledge Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in applications such as Microsoft Office Suite Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / OneNote / Visio) including Outlook as the client for MS Exchange
• Demonstrated proficiency in Windows XP/Vista/Win7/Win8 or higher.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Windows Active Directory/DNS Server Administration, SQL Server, Exchange Server, Microsoft TMG, PBX systems, firewalls, routers, switches and security devices, printers, scanners

Specific Knowledge Requirements / Key Duties for the Epicor E10 Application

• A basic understanding of the Epicor 10 Application and its functional operations
• Troubleshoot & Provide Basic Support in areas such as E10, Info. Worker, BPM, BAQ, EPM etc. 
• Create and Manage Security Access to the E10
• Create and Log Tickets with Epicor Support Team online (as needed)
• Liaise with the Epicor Support Team and ensure issue gets resolved in a timely manner.
• Follow up on any outstanding tickets raised with Epicor
• Installs and tests software updates and patches for supported application

Knowledge Requirements / Key Duties of Infrastructure Specialist

• Monitoring and Optimizing the Performance of the Site to Site VPN and its connectivity
• Liaise with the Network Vendor and ensure tickets gets resolved in a timely manner.
• Follow up on any outstanding tickets raised with Epicor
• Create relevant documentation or Training Manuals
• Maintains and administers the Local and Wide Area Computer network and related computing environments, including but not limited to, computer hardware; file servers; systems software; applications software; and all configurations.
• Provides support to end users and Suppliers to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve computer, network or software related problems
• Implement the recommendations of Disaster Recovery Plan and conduct day to day routine checks in areas such as PBX, ERP, Data Recovery, Virtualization, On-Premise or Cloud Solution hosting to ensure the DR standards are adhered to etc.
• Configures, monitors, and maintains email applications and virus protection software
• Plans, coordinates, and implements network security measures to protect data from internal and external threats
• Assists with testing and implementation of disaster recovery procedures
• Provide & Manage Helpdesk ticket support
• Configure, manage and maintain Computer Equipment (hardware and software).
• Purchasing (Toners\ Inks \Phones\ Computer\ Computer peripheral etc.)
• Liaise with Vendors for additional Support to find resolution as needed e.g. TSL, TSTT, FLOW etc.
• Manage ICT Admin. Contracts and Agreements with Employees e.g. Mobile, Laptop & PCs etc.
• Examines and evaluates business and technology solutions, software packages and systems and makes recommendations for procurement and implementation.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of solutions or processes, current or new, to provide effective support and training.
• Special projects and other duties as needed.
