Full time- Accounting Officer

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Payroll- ACH & Cash for both weekly and monthly salaries
• Preparation for Letters
• Ensuring all supplier invoices and payments have been posted unto Peachtree in an accurate and timely manner
• Suppliers paid on a timely basis- via Cheques, Wire Transfer or ACH
• Preparing and posting Journal Entries
• Email Statements/ Manage and Monitor Accounts Receivables by ensuring customers pay on a timely basis
• Requesting statements from suppliers to reconcile payables
• Ensuring all payments, invoices and supports are filed completely and on a timely basis
• Perform Bank Reconciliation
• Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts
• Prepare VAT returns bi-monthly and Green Fund Levy and Business Levy calculations quarterly and NIS
• Posting payments from customers such as credit cards, ACH or online banking payments on Peachtree in an accurate and timely manner
• Prepares and coordinate deposit activities
• Maintains confidentially and security of all financial and employee files
• Assist in month end reporting procedures
• Performs any related duties

Qualifications and Experience:

• Five (5) CXC passes inclusive of Mathematics and Principle of Accounts
• CAT/ACCA Level 1
• At least 7-10 years’ experience in accounting/ finance
• Experience in Peachtree
• Experience in ACH
