Role Responsibilities/Tasks & Objectives

Core responsibility of developing relationships with clients to maintain a positive and valuable partnership to retain their business. As Account Manager within the marketing department, it is expected that your role is to: 

  • uphold high quality of service to clients, assist with making sales, handling client complaints, collecting and analyzing data, and improving the overall customer experience. 

  • support team members with reaching targets of departmental goals and client’s objectives. 


Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and grow in-school and online marketing products for clients with focus on seasonal campaigns to increase overall engagement and usage of pennacool programs. 

  • Preparation of quarterly plans and marketing promotions for assigned programs. 

  • Conceptualization and creation of respective clients’ social media content inclusive of artwork, videos, posting of winners, boosting content and managing overall social media performance metrics with strategic use of budgets.  

  • Conceptualize and implement online and in-school marketing activities such as sampling, games, awarding of prizes, etc.  

  • Preparation of monthly report for assigned clients with metric performance of their respective brands and activities.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with other departments for development and execution of program activities. e.g., client’s branding, microsites, sampling, etc.   


Reports to Head of Client Services and Marketing

  • Time Management 

  • Meeting deadlines for deliverables with team members

  • Client Deliverables 

  • Growing metrics on social media and overall contribution to growth of platform usage 

  • Client satisfaction with reports, performance and overall

  • Ability to add value through solution-oriented initiatives based on market and clients’ needs  

  • Creativity 

  • Ideas around brand building and brand awareness for client’s partnership with pennacool 

  • Ability to adapt to changes on execution of marketing activities both online and in-school

  • Teamwork and Initiative 

  • Collaboration and support to team members 

  • Ability to foster communication, share ideas and lend support in areas outside of core duties 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Marketing/Business Management or related field. 

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in provision of administrative support and coordination/Minimum one (1) year in Marketing.

  • Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, Outlook.

  • Time Management – Ability to prioritize tasks and follow up to achieve schedules/deadlines.

  • Must be an excellent communicator with expert interpersonal skills.

  • Must possess computer and problem-solving skills.

  • Must be resourceful, analytical and organised with the ability to build rapport with clients.

  • Experience in Sales & Marketing would be an asset.
