Warehouse Manager

Responsible for the procurement, receiving and distribution of all Hotel food, beverage and non-food equipment and supplies.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the procurement, receiving and distribution of all Hotel food, beverage and non-food equipment and supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar capacity in the hotel industry
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Logistics & Supply Chain or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in Warehouse Management procedures and best practices
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office & Google Docs etc.)
• Satisfactory communication in English with vendors, management, staff, and co-workers to their understanding.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• The incumbent is also expected to create and implement warehousing and logistics best practices, according to the company’s vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures; to aid and improve operational performance.
• Formulating market lists for the routine purchase of fresh food including meat, fish, poultry, provisions, produce, dairy, cheese, bread; and as well, similar lists for all beverages such as liquor, wine, beer, sodas and juice, and all non-perishable foods.
• Establishing vendor partnerships.
• Have sufficient knowledge about inventory systems as well as being able to supervise employees responsible for sorting, packing and storing items.
• Maintains and supervises storerooms for food, beverage and some non-food items depending on each hotel' s logistics. Trains and supervises all storeroom personnel in accordance with job descriptions outlined for these positions.
• Implements and enforces all control procedures for hotel goods entering through the purchasing area.
• Responsible for all departmental reports such as payroll, schedules, personnel documentation, etc.
• Responsible for all staffing requirements for Receiver, and all storeroom Employees.
• Attends meetings as required or delegates appropriate representatives.
• Performs other tasks as deemed appropriate by the Executive Committee.
• Represents Secrets Resorts & Spas philosophy at all times.
• Oversee inventory and coordinate shipping and receiving process.
• Ensure that products move efficiently from the loading dock to storage and from storage to the point of contact.
• Ability to provide legible communications.
• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of effective office organizational practices.
• Ability to process information and merchandise through a computer system.
• Ability to communicate with associates and guests.
• Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
• Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to manage a hotel.
• Ability to effectively use INNSIST program
• Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee Hotel operations.

 SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

• Follow maintenance program and cleaning schedule. 
• Legibly document pertinent information in logbooks. 
• Legibly document maintenance needs on work orders and submit to Engineering department.
