The Team Lead – Information Technology Infrastructure will manage the day–to-day planning and operations of AMPLIA’s Information Technology Infrastructure to exceed the required service level components and ISO quality standards.

JOB SUMMARY  
 
The Team Lead – Information Technology Infrastructure will manage the day–to-day planning and operations of AMPLIA’s Information Technology Infrastructure to exceed the required service level components and ISO quality standards. The lead will be responsible for developing recommendations, implementation, regular maintenance and upgrades of all IT systems, infrastructure, and security components.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES  
  • Oversee, direct, and supervise Senior Information Technology Specialists and/or Information Technology Specialists.
  • Management and monitoring of team projects, communicating and coordinating of team tasks, assessment, maintenance, and improvement of team performance.
  • Primary lead regarding Information Technology Networking, Telephony and Infrastructure and procure and prepare requisite equipment for AMPLIA in adherence to the company’s procurement process.
  • Design, implementation, maintenance, and support of end-point security.
  • Ensure compliance with PCI and ISO 27001 requirements by implementing recommendations from periodic ICT Security Audits to mitigate inefficiencies and loopholes.
  • Minimize and mitigate against the risk of data loss through privilege access management.
  • Implement recommendations for ICT Security and ICT business continuity/operations.
  • Protect the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of the company’s information assets and identify, analyse, and evaluate technology or security risks.
  • Provide training to employees on use and features of IT Solutions and procedures.
  • Monitor Network Traffic and conduct investigations for infected devices and/or networks and subsequently implement remediation/ mitigation efforts.
  • Develop business cases and other related documentation for the evaluation and procurement of ICT Infrastructure Solutions.
  • Anti-Spam/Anti-Virus support, maintenance, and upgrade.
  • Provide support for delivery and integration of new products, platforms, or services.
  • Provide support for testing of new or existing products, platforms, and services.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for AMPLIA’s ICT Infrastructure Platforms.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures for use of all ICT Infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and implement new systems and procedures.
  • Schedule, communicate and execute maintenance activities.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining departments OPEX/CAPEX budget.
  • Assist in the development of the Department’s strategic plans.
  • Adhere to the company’s and department’s KPIs.
  • Inspire and motivate the team by constantly communicating with them, being open to opinions and following through on commitments.
  • Work closely with the IT Manager and HR Department on all HR-related issues affecting Infrastructure team members including conducting appraisals, confirmations, promotions, leave management, enforcing the disciplinary process, and terminations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and address personnel issues sensitively, appropriately in accordance with the established procedures.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology / Information Systems / Information Management or equivalent.
  • ITIL Certification will be an asset.
  • CCNA will be an asset.
  • CompTIA Security+ / Linux+ / Network+ will be an asset.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in I.T. inclusive of systems analysis, telecom/telephony, application and network design and development, systems administration, IT Network & Security solutions implementation, and maintenance.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in the supervision of persons or teams.
  • Good knowledge of operating systems, switches, routers, firewalls, security appliances/solutions, local area networks, wide area networks and server / network / application security.
  • Knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Excellent working knowledge of personal computers, operating systems, local area network and wide area networks.
  • Knowledge of network security concepts would be an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience in managing IT enterprise security solutions would be an asset.
  • Experience in Telecommunications or related field would be an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with many different levels of staff and management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational reporting and multi-tasking skills.
